{"id":303593,"date":"2025-10-14T21:03:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T21:03:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/303593\/"},"modified":"2025-10-14T21:03:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T21:03:10","slug":"cheryl-hines-pushes-against-the-view-hosts-for-slamming-rfk-jr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/303593\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheryl Hines Pushes Against &#8216;The View&#8217; Hosts for Slamming RFK Jr."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/cheryl-hines\/\" id=\"auto-tag_cheryl-hines\" data-tag=\"cheryl-hines\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cheryl Hines<\/a> appeared as a guest on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/the-view\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-view\" data-tag=\"the-view\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The View<\/a>\u201d Tuesday, where the co-hosts asked her several questions about her husband, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/robert-f-kennedy-jr\/\" id=\"auto-tag_robert-f-kennedy-jr\" data-tag=\"robert-f-kennedy-jr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/a>, and his role as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cWhen I met Bobby, he was living in New York, I was living in L.A., and I had just been in this entertainment sort of bubble,\u201d said Hines, who was on the talk show to promote her new memoir \u201cUnscripted.\u201d \u201cAnd then I meet him, and he\u2019s an environmental attorney, and he\u2019s fascinating, and he\u2019s interesting, and he\u2019s smart, and he\u2019s funny \u2014 and completely different from anyone I\u2019ve met in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThat\u2019s for sure,\u201d Joy Behar responded to Hines\u2019 last remark about Kennedy. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFollowing Behar\u2019s quip, the \u201cCurb Your Enthusiasm\u201d actor addressed the co-hosts\u2019 past criticisms of her husband, including their repeated concerns about his qualifications for the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services position.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI know you ladies \u2014 I know you love to talk about him,\u201d Hines said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCo-host Sunny Hostin later pressed Hines about Kennedy\u2019s presidential campaign and his eventual decision to endorse now-President Donald Trump, despite their earlier clashes on the campaign trail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cBy the way, that happens in a political campaign all the time,\u201d Hines said. She then responded to Hostin\u2019s question about whether she had expressed any concerns to her husband regarding his support for Trump.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI always share all of my concerns with my husband. I have not been a political person. I haven\u2019t posted anything on social media other than go out and vote. I never told people who they should vote for,\u201d Hines said. \u201cWith Bobby, that was a very difficult decision to make with President Trump. It was a crazy year-and-a-half with Bobby running.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHines added, \u201cIt was complicated, because it\u2019s a big change politically. He starts out as a Democrat. When I first registered to vote, I registered as an independent, through the years, I changed to Democrat, now I\u2019m back to independent. So, for Bobby, in the course of a year-and-a-half, two years, to go from a Democrat to now working with President Trump, that\u2019s a long, that\u2019s a leap.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBehar jumped back into the conversation by bringing up how Kennedy and Trump are \u201ccasting doubt on the efficacy of the vaccine, which makes Americans very nervous. So that\u2019s the problem we\u2019re having.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cSo my question is, can we do better? Yes, to vaccines, yes they are important and an important part of our healthcare,\u201d Hines said. \u201cCan we do better? Can we make them safer? Can we listen to parents who say my child got the vaccine and changed and stopped hitting markers, stopped developing the way they were developing?\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhoopi Goldberg then expressed her concerns about Kennedy\u2019s qualifications to lead a government agency on health issues, saying on \u201cThe View,\u201d \u201cI do want to say, you know he\u2019s not a doctor and he\u2019s not a professional? And oftentimes, when he\u2019s speaking, he\u2019s speaking not with the best information.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tGoldberg added, \u201cAnd some of the things he suggested take it out of the hands of my doctor and me or my OB-GYN and me. And I wonder, does it give you pause?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHines claimed that \u201c90 percent of secretaries of HHS have not been doctors,\u201d though she did not specify the source of that information.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cBut they\u2019ve had a science background,\u201d Hostin argued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn response, Hines noted that \u201cone of Obama\u2019s secretaries was an economist.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe problem, respectfully, is that your husband is the least-qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we\u2019ve had in history,\u201d Hostin said to Hines. \u201cI think that\u2019s very dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cLess qualified than an economist?,\u201d Hines replied.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHostin then claimed that RFK Jr. has \u201cspread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion.\u201d As Hines began to respond, Hostin interrupted, pointing out, \u201cHe\u2019s connecting circumcisions to autism,\u201d prompting Hines to reply, \u201cMay I? May I finish?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cWhen people, Fauci, were saying when you get the vaccine, you cannot transmit COVID, it will stop COVID, that was disinformation,\u201d Hines claimed. Alyssa Farah Griffin\u00a0\u2014 who worked under the Trump administration during the pandemic \u2014 responded, \u201cWe were also still learning about it, it was a novel virus we\u2019d never encountered before. Because now the doctors will acknowledge.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAfter some more tense back-and-forth between Hines and \u201cThe View\u201d co-hosts, Behar wrapped up the interview by asking one final question about Kennedy: \u201cDoes he or does he not have a brain worm?\u201d (Kennedy has admitted in the past that doctors found a brain worm in his body.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cIt ate just a little bit of his brain and died, so don\u2019t worry!\u201d Hines joked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFollowing Hines\u2019 interview, \u201cThe View\u201d co-hosts addressed the tone of the conversation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cWe want people to come and give their views, and everyone who comes here we try to be respectful to \u2014 and we ask tough questions because otherwise, we\u2019d be speculating, so we can ask,\u201d Goldberg said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cWe should have more Republicans on the show, but they don\u2019t want to come on. They\u2019re scared of us,\u201d Behar said, while Hostin added, \u201cI do think it\u2019s important that Robert F.
