PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia homicide detectives are now part of the investigation into the disappearance of a 23-year-old woman who vanished more than a week ago.<\/p>\n

Police said Tuesday that the Homicide Unit is now assisting in the case.<\/p>\n

Kada Scott was last seen leaving her workplace, a senior living facility, on the night of Saturday, Oct. 4.<\/p>\n

Police have not yet said why the case is now being investigated by the homicide unit.<\/p>\n

Before her disappearance, Scott had told people that she was being harassed.<\/p>\n

ABC Philadelphia affiliate WPVI has learned police searched a home last Thursday night in Southwest Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

The next day, police were out in force searching the Awbury Arboretum<\/a>, which is about 3 miles from where Scott was last seen.<\/p>\n

There was no word on whether anything related to the investigation was found.<\/p>\n

Sources say the FBI is also assisting with the search and investigation.<\/p>\n
