{"id":303650,"date":"2025-10-14T21:33:17","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T21:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/303650\/"},"modified":"2025-10-14T21:33:17","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T21:33:17","slug":"ny-state-police-arrest-man-who-allegedly-fled-to-pennsylvania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/303650\/","title":{"rendered":"NY State Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Fled to Pennsylvania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Offcials have issued a reminder to the public through one of their latest <a href=\"https:\/\/troopers.ny.gov\/news\/fleeing-another-state-will-not-prevent-you-getting-ticket\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">press releases<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/troopers.ny.gov\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York State Police<\/a> said in the recent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/troopers.ny.gov\/news\/fleeing-another-state-will-not-prevent-you-getting-ticket\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a> that &#8220;fleeing in a motor vehicle to another state to avoid a ticket or an arrest will not prevent the State Police from finding you&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers say that crossing state lines will not shield a person from legal consequences, it could potentially make charges even higher.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New York State Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Tried to Flee to Pennsylvania<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/troopers.ny.gov\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York State Police<\/a> said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/troopers.ny.gov\/news\/fleeing-another-state-will-not-prevent-you-getting-ticket\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a> that on October 14, troopers in Binghamton arrested a 28-year-old man from New Milford, Pennsyvania for the misdemeanor of unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>See Also:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wpdh.com\/new-york-state-man-arrest-dwi-asleep-sleeping-passed-out-car-running\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York State Man Charged With DWI After Being Found Passed Out in Vehicle<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Troopers said that on the morning of October 4, a trooper observed a Hyundai sedan following a vehicle too close on Interstate 81, then fail to stop at a stop sign at the bottom of the exit 1 off ramp near State Route 11, then again at a local intersection.<\/p>\n<p>Offcials say that when the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver took off at a high rate of speed, down several roads continuing to make more vehicle and traffic infractions and ultimately drove into the state of Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>With the assistance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pa.gov\/agencies\/psp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pennsylvania State Police<\/a>, troopers said they were able to locate the vehicle and driver.
