Donald Trump supporters are firing back after Ronnie Winter, the frontman of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus <\/a> declared he did not want them attending his band\u2019s shows. <\/p>\n

Winter said in an Instagram video<\/a> posted on June 14 that \u201cif you are a Christian and you\u2019re watching this and you voted for Donald Trump,\u201d then \u201cyou are not allowed to come to my shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since his video, the band has received a surge of comments on otherwise unrelated recent posts, criticizing Winter\u2019s political views. <\/p>\n

\u201cNow you\u2019re Dead jumpsuit apparatus cus you killed your career,\u201d one comment read. <\/p>\n

Another individual wrote, \u201cThe Left loves to market itself as the movement of peace, love and tolerance…right up until you disagree.\u201d <\/p>\n

The band and Winter also faced backlash for disabling comments on certain Instagram posts<\/a> and privatizing their X accounts<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cSmart move turning off comments…,\u201d another comment reads. \u201cYour entire fan base from the 2000s\u2019 are all tired of the liberal BS and you make the stupid mistake of pandering to the wrong side? Good luck, boys.. Good Luck…\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHey Ronnie Winter, first you block anyone who disagrees after you speak about love and tolerance. Now, you turn off comments\u201d another commenter said. \u201cSounds hypocritical. You need to come to terms that not everyone thinks like you. Accept disagreements and move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus formed in 2003 in Middleburg, Florida. The emo-pop band is best known for its 2006 major-label debut, \u201cDon\u2019t Fake It.\u201d <\/p>\n

The platinum-certified project peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard 200 and contained the smash hit \u201cFace Down.\u201d The single peaked at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since been certified five-times platinum by the RIAA<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The band has released four more albums \u2014 \u201cLonely Road\u201d (2009), \u201cAM I the Enemy\u201d (2011), \u201c4\u2033 (2014) and \u201cThe Awakening\u201d (2018) \u2014 but none have matched the success of their debut. <\/p>\n

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is currently on tour<\/a>, with upcoming shows scheduled through November. The band will perform<\/a> at Crystal Ballroom in Somerville on Aug. 24.<\/p>\n
