Two of the famous Baldwin brothers were involved in a car crash in New York on Monday.<\/p>\n
Alec Baldwin was driving his wife Hilaria\u2019s Range Rover when he smashed into a tree on the side of Montauk Highway in the Hamptons, according to the New York Post<\/a>. Alec\u2019s brother Stephen Baldwin was the only passenger in the vehicle; neither was injured.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m fine, my brother Stephen was visiting me,\u201d Alec said in an Instagram video<\/a> Monday night. <\/p>\n Photos published by Page Six and TMZ<\/a> show the white Range Rover had significant damage to the front end as police attended the scene. A large truck was also seen nearby.<\/p>\n \u201cA guy cut me off in a truck. A big garbage truck the size of a whale,\u201d Alec said. \u201cIt must have been something commercial, taking a way material from a construction site. It was the biggest garbage truck I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTo avoid hitting him, I hit a tree, I hit a big, fat tree and crushed my car \u2013 my wife\u2019s car. I crushed my wife\u2019s car. I feel bad about that. But it\u2019s all fine, I\u2019m fine, and my brother\u2019s fine.”<\/p>\n Police have not released details of the crash, but the truck company involved reportedly told TMZ its driver was not at fault in the accident.<\/p>\n Baldwin said East Hampton police officers who responded to the scene were \u201cas nice as can be\u201d and thanked them for their help. He added that he was headed to L.A. next to see his wife and children.<\/p>\n \u201cHilaria, I love you more than anything. I\u2019m very proud of you,\u201d he said to his wife, who was recently voted off \u201cDancing with the Stars.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n Baldwin had been in the area for the Hamptons International Film Festival, which ran from Oct. 5-13. He serves as co-chair of its Board Executive Committee and also owns a summer home in East Hampton.<\/p>\n Alec Baldwin, 67, recently visited Buffalo to attend the world premiere of \u201cBaristas vs. Billionaires\u201d Friday at the Buffalo Film Festival, according to WIVB<\/a>. The Emmy-winning actor produced the film about the Starbucks union drive that began in Buffalo.<\/p>\n Stephen Baldwin, 59, confirmed to TMZ that he and his brother Alec were uninjured.
