The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was placed in critical condition.

Investigators said that they think there was an argument between the 67-year-old and another man in the second floor hallway of the apartment building.

The argument led to the other man firing at least five shots at the 67-year-old, Small said. The victim’s apartment door and wall had bullet holes.

Small explained that the victim and the alleged shooter may have known each other. Police do have a name and description of the suspected shooter.

Police are talking to the staff of the senior living facility and investigators are reviewing surveillance camera footage from inside and near the building, Small said.

This is a developing story.
