Charli XCX took a cue from Taylor Swift by shaking it off <\/a>when asked about their alleged feud, which bubbled to the surface with the release of the latter\u2019s diss track, \u201cActually Romantic\u201d from her new album, \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl.\u201d<\/p>\n

When recently asked by Vanity Fair<\/a> to comment on the song \u2014 which is said to directly address the hitmakers\u2019 ongoing alleged rift \u2014 Charli \u201cdeclined to comment on the situation,\u201d per the outlet. <\/p>\n

\u201cActually Romantic\u201d contains lyrics that had fans linking Charli XCX\u2019s \u201cEverything is Romantic\u201d <\/a>to Swift\u2019s track. \u201cWrote me a song sayin\u2019 it makes you sick to see my face,\u201d Swift, 35, sings.<\/p>\n

Charli XCX declined to comment to Vanity Fair on Taylor Swift\u2019s alleged diss track, \u201cActually Romantic.\u201d WireImage<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard you call me \u2018Boring Barbie\u2019 when the coke\u2019s got you brave,\u201d Swift also sings, which fans interpreted to be a reference to Charli\u2019s alleged drug use.<\/p>\n

Swift said in an audio intro to the song for Amazon Music that \u201cActually Romantic\u201d is about a \u201cone-sided, adversarial relationship.\u201d Swift also described the song as a \u201clove letter to someone who hates you\u201d in her accompanying \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl\u201d cinema experience. <\/p>\n

Charli, 33, fueled feud speculation when she performed on \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d<\/a> over the weekend wearing a cropped T-shirt reading \u201cMax\u2019s Kansas City.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though the shirt is emblazoned with the name of a famous NYC nightclub where iconic artists and musicians have performed, many believed it was a subtle response to \u201cActually Romantic\u201d \u2014 especially since Swift\u2019s fianc\u00e9, Travis Kelce, plays for the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Charli fueled feud speculation when she wore a shirt emblazoned with \u201cKansas City\u201d on it during her Saturday Night Live performance.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in her Vanity Fair cover story, the Brat songstress seemingly threw shade<\/a> at the \u201cCruel Summer\u201d singer\u2019s Monday announcement that she\u2019d be releasing a six-episode documentary<\/a> on her Eras Tour. \u00a0<\/p>\n

She told the magazine that she nixed an idea to do her own tour documentary, saying she \u201cfelt the market was already saturated with similar projects.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like my problem with a lot of musician documentaries is, it often shows the musician coming up against some kind of opposition and eventually overcoming it to be the hero,\u201d Charli told writer Anna Peele. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

She added that she would instead star in a 2026 mockumentary about a pop star\u2019s days leading up to her first headlining concert tour, called \u201cThe Moment.\u201d Charli said it\u2019s not a \u201ctour documentary or a concert film in any way, but the seed of the idea was conceived from this idea of being pressured to make one.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fiction, but it\u2019s the realest depiction of the music industry that I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d she explained. <\/p>\n
