A 41-year-old man was stabbed at the corner of W49th Street and 8th Avenue just before 9pm on Tuesday night, prompting an NYPD Level 1 mobilization in Hell\u2019s Kitchen.<\/p>\n

Officers from Midtown North responded to a 911 call at 8:49pm and found the victim with a single stab wound to the left side of his back. He was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals\/Bellevue, where police said he was conscious, alert and in stable condition. He is expected to recover.<\/p>\n

Initial reports indicated that the suspect fled west along W49th Street toward 9th Avenue.<\/p>\n

Video from the scene showed the southeast corner of Worldwide Plaza, including the entrance to the W50th Street subway station, cordoned off with police tape as officers investigated the crime.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
