SAN ANTONIO – Just one week after opening, Elsewhere Too, the extension of the popular Elsewhere Garden Bar & Kitchen, is asking parents to step up after a string of vandalism incidents involving children.<\/p>\n
In a post shared to Instagram, the Elsewhere Too team said they\u2019ve seen \u201clights ripped apart, rocks thrown, plants destroyed, and items tossed from the Ferris wheel.\u201d The post called the behavior \u201cdangerous, disrespectful, and unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cElsewhere Too was built to inspire wonder, not to be destroyed,\u201d the post read. \u201cParents are fully responsible for supervising their children at all times. If a child is seen damaging property or disrupting the experience for others, your group will be asked to leave.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The post sparked hundreds of reactions online, with many commenters frustrated that the venue had already experienced damage so soon after opening. One user wrote, \u201cThis is why we can\u2019t have nice things,\u201d while another said, \u201cThis is a parenting problem, not a kid problem.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the caption, the venue clarified that children are welcome until 9 p.m. but must be supervised, and that any groups responsible for damage may be required to pay for repairs.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere Too opened earlier this month with art installations, a Ferris wheel, and garden-style decor meant to offer a whimsical outdoor experience for families and adults.
