Plans for a 34-story hotel and residential tower on a four-acre, mixed-use site in Uptown Dallas are moving forward.<\/p>\n

California-based Proper Hospitality<\/a> announced Wednesday that it will partner with local firm Lincoln Property Company on Dallas Proper Hotel & Residences, slated to open in 2029 at 2500 Cedar Springs Road.<\/p>\n

The hotel will feature 200 guest rooms and suites, along with three restaurants, five bar and lounges, a rooftop pool deck with skyline views \u2015 plus 22,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.<\/p>\n

On the tower\u2019s upper floors, there will be 80 homes ranging from one to four bedrooms, including a limited number of one- and two-story penthouses.<\/p>\n

Homeowners will enjoy a private rooftop pool, dining terrace and owners lounge.<\/p>\n

\u201cDallas Proper brings together design, wellness, food, and a deep connection to community,\u201d Brian De Lowe, co-founder and president of Proper Hospitality, said in a statement. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is more than a hotel or residential offering. It\u2019s a fully integrated destination for how people want to live and gather today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Proper calls its 15,000 square foot wellness center that combines \u201cholistic therapies, performance-driven fitness and advanced recovery\u201d as the \u201cheart of the project.\u201d<\/p>\n

The development will also include a members-only Proper Club, which grants them access to a 6,000 square foot social space with its own restaurant, pool, bar, lounge, and work areas.<\/p>\n

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill will serve as the project\u2019s architect, and Kelly Wearstler will handle the property\u2019s interior design. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis site gave us the rare opportunity to shape a meaningful part of Uptown,\u201d Clay Duvall, co-CEO of Lincoln Property Company, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cProper\u2019s track record in Texas and beyond, and their approach to design, lifestyle, and wellness made them the ideal partner for creating a landmark.\u201d<\/p>\n

Proper currently has hotels in a collection of cities, including Santa Monica, downtown Los Angeles, San Francisco and Austin. <\/p>\n

Lincoln Property closed on the land<\/a> in March 2024. Plans at the site called for 400,000-500,000 square feet of office space, about 250 luxury apartments, a 200-key five-star hotel and residence, and 25,000 square feet of food and beverage retail.<\/p>\n

The firm first disclosed plans at the site in 2022.
