I love it. It\u2019s like a family reunion, and you get to see everybody you haven\u2019t seen in a long time and get a chance to get huge exposure,&#8221; said McMillian.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;I love creating, and I love what I do,&#8221; he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/7E5DDF97C02AC49011C62C37DDC57836.jpg\" alt=\"Taste of Soul Festival returns to South LA\" class=\"sr-only\" data-v-7a5d4fdb=\"\"\/>   <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KTTV\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Taste of Soul was founded by civil rights activist and entrepreneur, Danny Bakewell.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Like McMillian, he agreed the festival has a family vibe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;People that come here are our family. These are the people who live here and the more we give them in quality, the more they will respond,&#8221; Bakewell said. &#8220;I may have created Taste of Soul, but the community is who grew Taste of Soul.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;Twenty years to maintain anything is really, really special,&#8221;
