The landmark, four-year NBA G League collective bargaining agreement includes a provision that athletes may be required to use approved wearable technology in games, practices or other activities. Those requests could be made by either the league itself or their respective teams.<\/p>\n

The full text of the CBA between the G League and its players association, the Next Gen Basketball Players Union, is not yet available, but a summary of key deal points<\/a> does list wearable devices among the section on updated professional experience standards. <\/p>\n

That is in stark contrast to the NBA\u2019s CBA<\/a>, which prohibits all wearable use in games and grants players the opportunity to decline team requests even for practice usage.
