Mayor Adams told senior officials in his administration Wednesday that he has received at least one offer for a job once he leaves City Hall<\/a> at the end of the year, according to four sources with direct knowledge of the matter.<\/p>\n

Adams, who last month abandoned his reelection bid<\/a> amid continuing controversies stemming from his federal corruption indictment, made the revelation in a virtual morning meeting with top staff. He didn\u2019t share details or say whether his next job will be in the public or private sector, said the sources, who were on the call.<\/p>\n

One of the sources, who, like the others, spoke on condition of anonymity, told the Daily News that Adams indicated there might be more than one job offer on the table for him. Two of the sources said the mayor did say the offer, or offers, he has received would amount to an opportunity \u201cof a lifetime,\u201d second to being mayor of New York City.<\/p>\n

In a radio appearance later in the day, Adams\u00a0confirmed he\u2019s \u201clooking at\u201d three job offers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are my dream jobs,\u201d he said on \u201cThe Reset Talk Show\u201d without sharing specifics. \u201cFor the last six, seven months, I was being recruited and these are the jobs that I\u2019m looking at that I always wanted to do outside of being mayor, and I\u2019m really excited. God is blessing me. You know, normally you get one dream job in your lifetime, I have an opportunity to do another dream job, and I\u2019m just really excited about what is on the horizon, I have just gotten started.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spokesmen for Adams didn\u2019t immediately return requests for more details.<\/p>\n

Starting at the end of the summer, advisers to President Trump were involved in talks about offering Adams a job in the Trump administration, potentially an ambassadorship to Saudi Arabia<\/a>, sources have said. Such an arrangement would have been contingent on Adams committing to ditching his independent reelection bid, according to sources.<\/p>\n

The aim of the Trump team\u2019s effort was to get Adams out of the race<\/a> to maximize independent candidate Andrew Cuomo\u2019s chances of beating Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani, whose tax-the-rich agenda has unnerved the president and his allies as well as local business communities.<\/p>\n

There have also been talks about Adams getting a private-sector job in exchange for dropping out of the race, as previously reported<\/a>\u00a0by The News.<\/p>\n

In the wake of those talks, Adams ended his reelection campaign<\/a> on Sept. 28. He will leave office Jan. 1.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s Justice Department quashed Adams\u2019 corruption indictment this past spring as part of a controversial arrangement that many believe has left the mayor beholden to the president.<\/p>\n
