There were also representatives from Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and defense and aerospace manufacturer Lockheed Martin. During the dinner, Trump talked up the architectural designs for the ballroom and noted that the renovations were already happening outside, right behind his podium.<\/p>\n
The dinner will help \u201cEstablish the Magnificent White House Ballroom,\u201d according to a copy of the invitation reviewed by the Journal.<\/p>\n

\u201cShould I show you? I guess maybe so they can see, right?\u201d Trump mused, before instructing someone else to open the curtains behind him.<\/p>\n
After the build-up, Trump\u2019s big reveal turned out to be seriously low-impact. Through the small panels of the glass double doors, the influential guests got a glimpse of a construction site illuminated by industrial lighting\u2014and not much else.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe don\u2019t really want you to walk on there, but you can take a look if you want,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
He then pointed at tiny toy-sized models of his latest plans for the White House including a replica of the future ballroom. \u201cWe\u2019ve already started excavation,\u201d Trump said. \u201cI\u2019m very good at building things on time and on budget.\u201d<\/p>\n
While the White House announced the plans for the ballroom in July, Trump did not give any indication when it will be finished. The official statement<\/a> said \u201cit is expected to be completed long before the end of President Trump\u2019s term.\u201d <\/p>\n The Daily Beast has reached out to the White House for comment.<\/p>\n At one point, after a rambling speech where Trump again complained about not getting the Nobel Peace Prize, the curtain was discreetly closed.<\/p>\n The president also talked up his skills as he thanked the \u201clegends\u201d in the room.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s why we\u2019re here to celebrate you, because you\u2019ve given tremendous amounts of money to see a ballroom built for the first time at the White House,\u201d Trump said. \u201cFor 150 years plus they\u2019ve wanted a ballroom and it never happened because they never had a real estate person.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump made sure to call out his \u201creally, really generous\u201d friends in the room.<\/p>\n \u201cA couple of you sitting here [were] saying, \u2018Uh, sir, would $25 million be appropriate?\u2019 I said, \u2018I\u2019ll take it\u2019. You know, it doesn\u2019t take too many 25[million]s to get it done, but a lot of I mean, a lot of you were have been really fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n He revealed the ballroom will be big enough to hold \u201cliterally the inauguration if we want\u201d and the exterior design will feature four sides of \u201cbeautiful glass,\u201d which will all be bulletproof. <\/p>\n He also said it will have a capacity of 999 people, an increase from 650 people<\/a> in July and 900 last month<\/a>.<\/p>\n Trump also told the diners the ballroom is now \u201cfully financed.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s fully taken care of now, and in fact, we\u2019ll have money left over and we\u2019ll use that for something.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"WASHINGTON,](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/LRFW6F5B3FDHPNN2PUAAJAEBD4.jpg\")
