Mississippi State<\/a><\/strong> is set to head to Florida<\/a><\/strong> this weekend in a battle of teams looking to turn their fortunes in the 2025 season. But while there is a lot to salvage for the Bulldogs, the Gators\u2019 season is mostly in tatters already.<\/p>\n

In any case, the injury report looms large for both teams. If either can get closer to full strength it would help quite a bit.<\/p>\n

The SEC released its initial availability report<\/a> for Mississippi State at Florida on Wednesday night, and there\u2019s plenty to digest. So let\u2019s break it down below.<\/p>\n

Florida Gators<\/strong><\/p>\n

Florida has had one of the lengthiest injury reports of any team in the SEC this season. Going into last week\u2019s game against Texas A&M<\/a><\/strong>, 13 players in total were listed, while 10 were out for the contest.<\/p>\n

Among the players who were out for the contest were star defensive tackle Caleb Banks<\/a><\/strong>, tight end Tony Livingston<\/a><\/strong>, defensive back Dijon Johnson<\/a><\/strong>, running back Duke Clark<\/a><\/strong> and edge rusher LJ McCray<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It was a hefty chunk of production missing, and most of it won\u2019t be back against Mississippi State. There are some who still have a chance, though.<\/p>\n

Running back Ja\u2019Kobi Jackson<\/a><\/strong> was listed as a game-time decision last week but ultimately did not play against the Aggies. If the Gators can get him back this week against the Bulldogs it would be a big boon.<\/p>\n

On the other side, Mississippi State is coming off a bye week and has had a chance to get significantly healthier. The players who were listed out for the previous game against Texas A&M before the bye included safety Isaac Smith<\/a><\/strong>, defensive lineman Will Whitson<\/a><\/strong>, offensive lineman Blake Steen<\/a><\/strong> and offensive lineman Albert Reese IV<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Florida and Mississippi State are set to meet on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. ET.
