A killer flock is swooping down for the attack in a <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/event\/the-birds\/2025-10-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>new thrilling Fort Worth play opening this weekend at Amphibian Stage<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Birds\u201d tells the story of three strangers seeking shelter in an abandoned home. But, they quickly realize the biggest threat might not be coming from outside.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The play is <a href=\"https:\/\/mrnsmith.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/the-birds-by-daphne-du-maurier.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>based on Daphne du Maurier\u2019s story<\/strong><\/a>, which served as the inspiration for Alfred Hitchcock\u2019s famous 1963 film. This stage adaptation stands on its own from its predecessors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I attended the cast\u2019s final dress rehearsal Tuesday night and can attest this is an intimate and thrilling show perfect for the spooky season. There are jaw-dropping moments you don\u2019t want to miss.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/event\/the-birds\/2025-10-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Seek shelter at Fort Worth theater\u2019s adaption of classic horror story<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The play, which is on stage through Nov. 9, has a runtime of roughly 90 minutes with no intermission.
