\u201cWe are excited to make everyday errands easier with the Waymo Driver, offering the added peace of mind that comes with our safe and reliable technology,\u201d Nicole Gavel, head of business development and strategic partnerships at Waymo, said in a release<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThrough our partnership with DoorDash, we leverage our proven delivery experience to provide customers with a seamless, contact-free way to get items they need, whether it\u2019s groceries or a quick bite.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Waymo will begin delivering orders from DashMart, DoorDash\u2019s convenience, grocery and retail stores. The company said it plans to expand deliveries to other merchants across the Valley, \u201cover time.\u201d<\/p>\n Waymo also announced it is offering DashPass members special promotions for its ridesharing service.<\/p>\n \u201cDashPass is designed to give consumers consistent value, convenience and access to the best of their communities, and our partnership with Waymo builds on that promise,\u201d David Richter, vice president of business and corporate development at DoorDash, said in a press release.<\/p>\n \u201cTogether, we\u2019re giving members access to, and savings on, a new and delightful experience, while advancing our vision for a multi-modal autonomous future of local commerce.\u201d<\/p>\n The company that started as Google\u2019s self-driving car project has been operating in the East Valley since 2017 and introduced fully autonomous public rides in 2020.
