\n\tFollowing a competitive situation, Amazon MGM Studios\u2019 United Artists<\/a> and Scott Stuber have landed\u00a0Lizard Music<\/a>, a package with Dwayne Johnson<\/a> attached to star and Benny Safdie<\/a> attached to direct.\u00a0Safdie also will write the script, based on the Daniel Pinkwater novel.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDeadline first reported <\/a>the news that the package was hitting the market after Safdie and Johnson\u2019s A24 pic The Smashing Machine bowed at the Venice Film Festival<\/a>. That pic won Safdie best director<\/a> at Venice and earned Johnson the best reviews of his career<\/a> portraying UFC fighter Mark Kerr.<\/p>\n
