We continue to hear conflicting reports about plans for Spider-Man in the next Avengers movies, 2026’s Avengers: Doomday and 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The latest is that while Tom Holland won’t reprise his role as Peter Parker in\u00a0Doomsday, he will be in Secret Wars. Now, insider\u00a0Daniel Richtman<\/a>\u00a0has claimed that the actor is set to\u00a0have a “huge”<\/strong> part to play in the latter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This comes after he told fans on his Discord channel that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man will be the Spidey we see in next December’s Avengers movie. As the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four battle Doctor Doom throughout the Multiverse, it’s fair to say the classic Spider-Man Variant swinging\u00a0into frame would make for an unforgettable moment.<\/p>\n

In related news, newer scooper\u00a0James Mack<\/a>\u00a0has taken to\u00a0social media to say, “Teyonah Parris, Lashana Lynch, Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, and another X-Men actor in a surprise\/special appearance will film the continuation of [The Marvels’] post-credits scene in the next few weeks.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Captain Marvel\u00a0sequel was a box office flop, but the post-credits scene\u2014which saw Monica Rambeau stranded on Earth 10005 and discovered by the X-Men\u2014looks set to be key heading into Avengers: Doomsday.<\/p>\n

Monica’s presence in that parallel reality is likely what causes an Incursion, and could even be what leads to an expected clash between the Avengers and X-Men in the movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite not being announced for the cast, we’re hearing that Brie Larson is expected to be on hand for those scenes as she looks to find the friend she lost in the 2023 team-up, which also featured Ms. Marvel.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Back to Spidey for a moment, and @MyTimeToShineH<\/a> has reiterated previous rumours about Spider-Man: Brand New Day featuring a female villain.<\/p>\n

Avengers: Doomsday\u00a0stars Chris Hemsworth,\u00a0Anthony Mackie,\u00a0Winston Duke,\u00a0Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and\u00a0Robert Downey Jr.\u00a0Wyatt Russell,\u00a0Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia,\u00a0Florence Pugh,\u00a0Danny Ramirez,\u00a0David Harbour,\u00a0Hannah John-Kamen,\u00a0and\u00a0Lewis Pullman all make their\u00a0Avengers\u00a0franchise debuts in the movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Fantastic Four: First Steps\u00a0leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and\u00a0Joseph Quinn join them, as do\u00a0X-Men\u00a0franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and\u00a0Deadpool & Wolverine\u00a0star Channing Tatum.<\/p>\n

Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, and Ryan Reynolds are also set to appear, according to recent reports from the trades.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Russo Brothers direct the movie from a screenplay\u00a0by\u00a0Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the\u00a0Avengers\u00a0and\u00a0Captain America\u00a0franchises.\u00a0Loki\u00a0and\u00a0Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’s Michael Waldron is also working on the script.<\/p>\n
