On a warm spring evening, people from across the region gathered to enjoy an unforgettable night of reginal Mexican music, dancing and singing from beginning to end.

The night kicked off with Los Canarios De Michoacán, who wasted no time setting the tone with hits like “No Se Vivir” and “El Wiri Wiri.” Dressed in jacket suits and cowboy hats, the group delivered an energetic performance that got early attendees moving and singing to their Michoacán-rooted style. Their stage energy was just what the crowd needed to start the night, and their cumbia-infused rhythms filled every corner of the venue.

Up next was Chuy Lizárraga, one of the most anticipated artists of the night. With his unmistakable Sinaloense banda sound and voice full of power and emotion, Lizárraga lit up the crowd with songs like “Partido en Dos” and “Casada o No.” Fans sang along every word, some letting out a classic Mexican grito, others dancing like no one was watching. Lizárraga doesn’t just sing, he connects deeply and brings each song’s story to life.

But the biggest spectacle of the night came with the arrival of Grupo Laberinto. Known for their technobanda style and corridos de caballos, the group made their entrance with fireworks and a roar of excitement from the crowd. Their presence and rhythm were undeniably powerful, and synchronized vocals created a show within a show.

As horses danced near the stage during Grupo Laberitno’s performance, the night fell like a mix between a music festival and Mexican rodeo. Songs like “El Profeta” and “El Jaguar” reminded the crowd why Laberinto has remained a regional Mexican genre favorite for decades.

As the night went on and air cooled slightly, Banda Corona Del Rey closed out the event. Their performance leaned on the romantic side, with fan favorite cover ballads like “Suspiros” and “Te Vas Amor.” Couples danced close, while others stood alongside friends.

Banda Corona Del Rey’s smooth sound was the perfect ending to a night full of adrenaline, giving fans exactly what they came to hear.

The event brought together a diverse crowd — young families, longtime fans, cowboys and first-time curious individuals — all united by their love of music and a good time with family and old and newly met friends.

Sunday night at La Centinela wasn’t just a concert–it was a celebration of culture, rhythm and community.
