Flock\u2019s government and police customers can also make natural language searches of their video footage to find people who match specific descriptions. However, AI-powered technology used by law enforcement has been proven to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aclu-mn.org\/en\/news\/biased-technology-automated-discrimination-facial-recognition\" target=\"_blank\">exacerbate<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/police-facial-recognition-technology-cant-tell-black-people-apart\/\" target=\"_blank\">racial biases<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the same day that Ring announced this partnership, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.404media.co\/ice-secret-service-navy-all-had-access-to-flocks-nationwide-network-of-cameras\/\" target=\"_blank\">404 Media reported<\/a> that ICE, the Secret Service, and the Navy had access to Flock\u2019s network of cameras. By partnering with Ring, Flock could potentially access footage from millions more cameras. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ring has long had a <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/05\/31\/amazon-ring-ftc-settlement-lax-security\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">poor track record<\/a> with keeping customers\u2019 videos <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/01\/14\/ring-neighbors-exposed-locations-addresses\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">safe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2019\/12\/19\/ring-doorbell-passwords-exposed\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">secure<\/a>.
