{"id":309201,"date":"2025-10-16T22:52:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T22:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/309201\/"},"modified":"2025-10-16T22:52:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T22:52:13","slug":"pulliam-pools-brings-century-of-experience-to-small-business-honor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/309201\/","title":{"rendered":"Pulliam Pools brings century of experience to small business honor\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A company that began pouring concrete over a century ago and eventually morphed into one of the largest swimming pool companies in the county, took home a Small Business of the Year award on Thursday at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce\u2019s State of the City event.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very pleased,\u201d said Andrew Fluty, general manager at Pulliam Pools, which took home the Small Business of the Year award for companies between 51-150 employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1916, Pulliam Pools specializes in new construction, renovations, service and maintenance. Pulliam Pools is the continuation of a family construction business founded by brothers Theodore Creswell Pulliam and Frank \u2018Pop\u2019 Pulliam.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company builds about 200 pools annually and services more than 1,000 pools every week, Fluty said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have really expanded our servicing business over the past couple of years,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s something we\u2019ve worked really hard on.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company has about 72 employees and many of those have been on the job for many years. Fluty has been with the company for more than 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve built a great place to work,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Other nominees in the same category were Ampersand Coffee and Alliance Vision Institute.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other honorees:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>1-20 Employees<\/strong><strong><br \/><\/strong><strong>Winner:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jordanelizabethharrisfoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> <\/strong><strong>The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The foundation was formed in 2014 with the mission to prevent suicide, provide help for people struggling with depression, and support research. The foundation\u2019s work was cited for helping lead to a 20% decrease in all deaths by suicide in Tarrant County since 2023, and a close to 90% decrease in youth deaths by suicide \u2014 five in the 2024-25 school year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other finalists:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>HF Custom Solutions<\/li>\n<li>mForce Capital<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>21-50 Employees<\/strong><strong><br \/><\/strong><strong>Winner:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/generalcontractor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> <\/strong><strong>Bob Moore Construction<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bob Moore Construction is a legacy general contractor based in Fort Worth, building across Texas for over 78 years. In the past two years, they have worked on more than 2.5 million square feet in Fort Worth and central Tarrant County, totaling over $185 million in value and adding an estimated 1,800 jobs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other finalists:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Emerging Business<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Winner:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.longtermcarelink.net\/listingprofiles\/4157-at-your-home-Caregiving-Texas.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> <\/strong><strong>At Your Home Caregiving of Texas<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At Your Home Caregiving of Texas is owned and operated by nurse practitioner Sabina Tamang.
