PHOENIX \u2014 A suspect was arrested in connection with a road rage shooting that occurred Saturday night in Peoria, authorities said.<\/p>\n

According to the Peoria Police Department, 20-year-old Rudy Sanchez Jr. was taken into custody on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Police said that the shooting took place near State Route 101 and Peoria Avenue<\/a> around 7:10 p.m.<\/p>\n

How did police connect Sanchez Jr. to the road rage shooting in Peoria?<\/p>\n

According to Peoria police, detectives used \u201cadvanced\u201d police technology and investigative resources to identify the vehicle involved and develop a lead on Sanchez Jr. as the driver involved.<\/p>\n

Police said that during Sanchez\u2019s interview he said the victim in the shooting had cut him off in traffic and he shot her because he felt she \u201cdisrespected\u201d him.<\/p>\n

Sanchez Jr. has been booked into Maricopa County Jail and reportedly faces multiple felony charges.<\/p>\n

According to Peoria police, Sanchez Jr. is being held on a $250,000 bond.<\/p>\n

Police advised Arizonans not to engage if ever confronted with aggressive driving or verbal harassment, stay in their vehicle and to contact police if they feel threatened.<\/p>\n
