\n\tKevin Federline<\/a> claims that Britney Spears<\/a> drank while pregnant and did cocaine while breastfeeding in new excerpts from the former dancer\u2019s upcoming memoir<\/a>, published in several news outlets.<\/p>\n

\n\tThese claims in You Thought You Knew <\/a>(out Oct. 21), especially regarding Spears\u2019 alleged cocaine use, contradict the pop star\u2019s own memoir<\/a>, in which she downplayed speculation<\/a> about substance use during her party days. In The Woman in Me, Spears said that she \u201cnever had a drinking problem\u201d and wasn\u2019t interested in hard drugs, calling the ADHD med Adderall her \u201cdrug of choice.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tBut Federline claims in his new book that he started to worry about Spears when she allegedly began drinking alcohol not only while pregnant, but while taking other medications, too. Though he didn\u2019t say what meds Spears was on, he called the mix with booze \u201cdangerous\u201d and \u201cfucked up, honestly\u201d (via People<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou\u2019re not supposed to drink when you\u2019re on meds like that,\u201d he wrote. \u201cA couple of glasses of wine for her would hit like a whole bottle because of the medication.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Spears\u2019 alleged cocaine use, the book reportedly contains a scene in which Spears shows up to Federline\u2019s album release party in 2006 with her brother, father, agent, and an unnamed actress. Federline claims he walked in on Spears and the actress \u201csnorting a fat line of coke off the table.\u201d While Federline writes that he\u2019d seen Spears use coke before, this alleged instance startled him because Spears was still breastfeeding their young kids, Sean and Jayden, at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat was hitting me in that moment was everything else, what this meant for the kids,\u201d he writes (via E!<\/a>). He continues: \u201cIt was really upsetting because of the danger to the kids\u2026 We could have prepared. She could have pumped milk for Jayden so [Spears\u2019] mom had that ready. But the way she was that night had nothing to do with us; it was something else entirely.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFederline says he later told Spears, \u201cPlease don\u2019t go home and breastfeed the kids like this. Call your mom or someone. We need to get formula. You can\u2019t do this.\u201d He then writes that Spears looked at him with \u201cinstant rage in her eyes. Like she wanted to slap the shit out of me. Instead, she stood up, took her drink, and threw it straight into my face. In front of everyone. My family, my best friends, the whole damn table. I was in all-white. And she soaked me with a vodka cranberry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFederline calls this \u201cthe beginning of the end\u201d of his relationship with Spears. The couple separated later that year and finalized their divorce in 2007.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tA rep for Spears did not immediately return Rolling Stone\u2018s request for comment regarding Federline\u2019s claims about her drinking and cocaine use. However, Spears and her reps have already issued statements in response to another claim from the book that emerged earlier this week regarding Spears\u2019 alleged behavior while her children visited during her conservatorship. (Federline had sole custody of Sean and Jayden for most of that time.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThey would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep \u2014 \u2018Oh, you\u2019re awake?\u2019 \u2014 with a knife in her hand,\u201d Federline wrote. \u201cThen she\u2019d turn around and pad off without explanation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a response, a rep for Spears said Federline and others \u201care profiting off [Spears] and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.\u201d All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSpears issued a statement as well on social media, writing, \u201cTrust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here\u2026 [I]f you really know me, you won\u2019t pay attention to the tabloids of my mental health and drinking. I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years.
