Zohran Mamdani\u2019s artist wife\u00a0Rama Duwaji<\/a>\u00a0was spotted teaching a ceramics class in a trendy Brooklyn neighborhood Thursday night \u2013 while her socialist husband\u00a0was trading barbs during the New York City mayoral debate.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Duwaji, 28, skipped out on supporting her hubby during the debate and instead\u00a0spent the evening instructing a workshop on ceramic tile design at a buzzy new Levantine bistro called Huda in East Williamsburg, according to photos obtained by The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The $95-a-ticket workshop began at 5 p.m. and ended at 7:30 p.m. \u2014 a half\u00a0hour after Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa took to the debate stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Photos show Duwaji, dressed in black with gold jewelry, standing in front of a projected image of different swatches of underglaze combinations used to paint ceramics.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The workshop was set to focus on \u201cfruit iconography with damascene tile design,\u201d where participants would design their \u201cown ceramic tiles to take home,\u201d according to the event page.<\/p>\n

Across the East River, her 33-year-old husband was fighting his way through pointed jabs from ex-Gov. Cuomo, while skirting tough questions.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Duwaji was scheduled to lead the Thursday class \u2014 part of a four-week workshop series taught by different creatives \u2014 ahead of the debate, according to a schedule on the restaurant\u2019s Instagram. It\u2019s unclear how far in advance it was planned compared to the debate night scheduling.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sliwa\u2019s wife was in attendance at the debate hosted at NBC\u2019s 30 Rock, while Cuomo is divorced.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mamdani and Duwaji first met on Hinge in 2021. Duwaji is Texas-born with Syrian descent and works as both a ceramist and illustrator, who has had recent\u00a0illustrations\u00a0published in outlets like New York Magazine.<\/p>\n

They just held\u00a0an extravagant wedding<\/a>\u00a0in July, tying the knot after four years of dating.<\/p>\n
