{"id":310777,"date":"2025-10-17T13:11:32","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T13:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/310777\/"},"modified":"2025-10-17T13:11:32","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T13:11:32","slug":"suspect-in-phoenix-cold-case-murder-extradited-back-to-the-u-s-pd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/310777\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect in Phoenix cold case murder extradited back to the U.S.: PD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\"><strong>PHOENIX<\/strong> &#8211; Phoenix Police say the suspect accused of killing a 25-year-old man eight years ago is back in the country.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KSAZ\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">In a statement released on Oct. 16, Phoenix Police say 34-year-old Michael Anthony Arredondo was taken into custody by Mexican law enforcement authorities.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;[Arredondo] was subsequently extradited to the United States, where he was transferred into the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service,&#8221; read a portion of the statement.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KSAZ\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The backstory:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Arredondo, according to investigators, is accused of killing Evin Paulos in 2017.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Per Phoenix Police&#8217;s initial statement, passersby noticed an unresponsive man at a lot near Pinnacle Peak Road and Cave Creek Road on June 3, with what is described as &#8220;obvious trauma.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;The victim was pronounced deceased,&#8221; a portion of Phoenix Police&#8217;s 2017 statement reads.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox10phoenix.com\/news\/suspect-sought-in-2017-stabbing-death-of-valley-man\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>We have previously reported<\/strong><\/a> on Paulos&#8217; murder.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;He was [a] very, very loving person.
