Stevenson has made the hiring of Jack Bors official \u2013 here\u2019s the <a href=\"https:\/\/gomustangsports.com\/news\/2025\/10\/16\/mens-basketball-jack-bors-named-head-mens-basketball-coach-for-mustang-athletics.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a> from the school:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stevenson University Director of Athletics,\u00a0Jordan Hoover,\u00a0announced the hiring of Jack Bors as the next Head Men\u2019s Basketball Coach for the Mustangs. Bors joins Stevenson following three seasons as an assistant coach at Catholic University, bringing with him a proven record of player development, recruiting success, and competitive achievement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Jack Bors to the Stevenson Athletics family,\u201d said Hoover. \u201cJack\u2019s ability to quickly build strong relationships, and his commitment to the development of our student-athletes was apparent throughout the search process. His leadership, vision, and drive for competitive excellence both on and off the court align perfectly with our vision of Mustang Athletics. I am incredibly excited for the next chapter of Mustangs\u2019 basketball under Jack\u2019s guidance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While at Catholic, Bors played a key role in the Cardinals\u2019 continued success within the Landmark Conference, overseeing player skill development, opponent scouting, and practice and game planning. Prior to his time at Catholic, Bors spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Ursinus College, helping guide the Bears to the Centennial Conference semifinals. During his tenure, Ursinus notched several statement wins, including a 95\u201386 road victory over No. 17 Swarthmore and a quarterfinal win over Dickinson.<\/p>\n<p>Bors\u2019 coaching experience also includes mentoring multiple standout performers \u2014 including two All-Conference selections, one All-District honoree, one Second Team All-Region, and a 1,000-point scorer \u2014 while emphasizing culture, accountability, and leadership development within his programs.<\/p>\n<p>Before beginning his coaching career, Bors was a four-year member of the men\u2019s basketball team at\u00a0Bowdoin College. A consistent offensive contributor, he tallied several standout performances, including a 20-point outing versus Colby as a freshman and a 15-point effort in Bowdoin\u2019s upset of No. 7 Babson during his junior season. Bors served as team captain during his senior campaign. Bors graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in economics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am beyond excited to become the next head men\u2019s basketball coach at Stevenson University.\u201d said Bors. \u201cThank you to\u00a0Jordan Hoover\u00a0and the rest of the search committee for this incredible opportunity to lead the men\u2019s basketball program.
