The zoo had to delay its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/10\/15\/phoenix-zoo-reopening-delayed-crews-continue-microburst-repairs\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">initial Thursday opening<\/a> as crews continued clean-up across the park.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Members can enter the zoo beginning at 8 a.m., while the general public can visit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hardwick said the Mexican wolf habitat pathway is still blocked off for guests since the concrete needs to be replaced. This small section of the dead-end pathway of the Arizona Trail will be inaccessible to guests, but all other areas of the trail remain open.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"The Phoenix Zoo will be\u00a0closed for the next two days\u00a0to focus on cleanup and restoration efforts.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1760711292_740_J6NIYJJ6ONADXCDQ76FGGVVI2U.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>The Phoenix Zoo will be\u00a0closed for the next two days\u00a0to focus on cleanup and restoration efforts.(Phoenix Zoo)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The iconic ZooLights 50-foot tree is being moved to the shoreline, where cranes will lift it so crews can assess the damage. Hardwick says this will not impact guests\u2019 visits to the zoo; instead, it gives a close-up look at how clean-up is done behind the scenes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThe Zoo is excited to welcome back guests to enjoy a beautiful October day!\u201d Hardwick shared with Arizona\u2019s Family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Monday\u2019s microburst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/10\/15\/tempe-mayor-issues-emergency-declaration-due-city-wide-storm-damage\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hit Tempe the hardest<\/a>, but left over a dozen trees uprooted and damaged sidewalks and infrastructure at the zoo. Estimated damages to the zoo, including lost revenue, totaled $300,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Those interested in supporting the zoo can donate to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixzoo.org\/support\/storm-damage-recovery-fund\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Storm Recovery Fund<\/a>.
