SpaceX\u2019s satellite internet division, Starlink<\/b><\/a>, has announced an investment of nearly R2 billion<\/b> (approximately $116 million USD<\/b>) to expand its operations in South Africa<\/b>. Ryan Goodnight<\/b>, Starlink\u2019s Senior Director of Market Access<\/b>, emphasized the company\u2019s dedication to complying with South African laws and contributing to the nation\u2019s digital development<\/b>. He stated, \u201cWe are paying local taxes, we are paying the same local regulatory fees as all other ISPs\u2026 we\u2019re also subject to all of the same local laws.\u201d<\/p>\n
