If truth be told the man in the interview went STRAIGHT TO the SOURCE and said it CLEAR AS DAY\u2026 no money from Britney for 5 years you trying to get paid that\u2019s what general America is saying weird you both have moved on\u2026 your kids are adults it\u2019s a different world now \u2026 why is HE SO ANGRY.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While the pop star didn\u2019t specify who \u201che\u201d is in the post, it appears that she was once again hitting back at Federline as excerpts of his upcoming tell-all memoir are being released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIf you really love someone then you don\u2019t help them by humiliating them,\u201d Spears continued in the Thursday post. \u201cWhat scared me was how serious and angry he got, people have no idea, it is way worse than anyone could imagine\u2026 the boy hates me and it is deep anger to literally say the things he is saying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The post comes after Spears shared a <a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/britneyspears\/p\/DP2oyNAAGIG\/?hl=en\" data-i13n=\"slk:posted to Instagram;cpos:2;pos:1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:statement on Instagram;slk:posted to Instagram;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">statement on Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday about her ex-husband\u2019s \u201cconstant gaslighting.\u201d \u201cI have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys is complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life. Sadly, they have always witnessed the lack of respect shown by [their] own father for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Spears and Federline married in 2004, before welcoming sons Sean Preston, now 20, and Jayden James, now 19. The couple\u2019s divorce was finalized in 2007.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThey need to take responsibility for themselves,\u201d Spears added. \u201cWith one son only seeing me for 45 [minutes] in the past 5 years and the other with only 4 visits in the past 5 years, I have pride too. From now on I will let them know when I am available. Trust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, out on Oct. 21, Federline recounts a time in which he says their sons, as teens, were fearful of spending time at their mom\u2019s home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThey would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep \u2014 \u2018Oh, you\u2019re awake?\u2019 \u2014 with a knife in her hand,\u201d Federline writes, <a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/10\/14\/arts\/music\/britney-spears-kevin-federline-book.html\" data-i13n=\"slk:per the New York Times;cpos:3;pos:1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:according to the New York Times;slk:per the New York Times;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">according to the New York Times<\/a>. \u201cThen she\u2019d turn around and pad off without explanation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Times story includes additional excerpts from Federline\u2019s memoir, including his recounting of the evening when Spears was placed under a 72-hour involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles following a three-hour standoff with their sons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Recalling the incident, Federline writes, \u201cIt was one of the hardest nights of my life. \u2026 I felt sick over what she was going through. This was someone I had loved. Someone I had built a life with. The mother of my children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Federline further articulates his general concern for Spears in a later chapter, in which he writes that she is \u201cracing toward something irreversible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIt\u2019s become impossible to pretend everything\u2019s OK,\u201d he writes. \u201cFrom where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we\u2019re getting close to the 11th hour. Following their divorce, Federline was granted full physical custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. Federline currently has custody of the boys, whom he relocated to Hawaii with his wife in 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIf they&#8217;d let me live my life, I know I would\u2019ve followed my heart and come out of this the right way and worked it out,\u201d the \u201cStronger\u201d singer writes of initially losing custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Spears was held under a controversial conservatorship <a rel=\"noopener\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/britney-spears-conservatorship-ends-13-221737548.html\" data-i13n=\"slk:for 14 years ;cpos:5;pos:1\" data-ylk=\"slk:for 14 years;slk:for 14 years ;cpos:5;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" target=\"_blank\">for 14 years<\/a> until November 2021, when, bolstered by the #FreeBritneyMovement, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny agreed to terminate the legal arrangement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The conservatorship was divided into two parts: the conservatorship of Spears\u2019s estate, which involved control over all her income and financial decisions, and the conservatorship of Spears\u2019s person, which concerned her mental and physical well-being.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI just want my life back. And it\u2019s been 13 years. I\u2019ve worked my whole life. I deserve to have a two- to three-year break and just, you know, do what I want to do. \u2026 I deserve to have the same rights as anybody does, by having a child, a family, any of those things, and more so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Ending Spears\u2019s conservatorship, Federline argues in his book, has had a negative impact on their sons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cNow more than ever, [our children] need your support.
