It prevents inflammation and the ageing of multiple organs by targeting and inhibiting an enzyme called TBK1.The findings not only shed light on the mechanism behind the anti-ageing effects of exercise, but also suggest possible <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/lifestyle\/health-wellness\/article\/3296879\/how-slow-or-reverse-ageing-new-longevity-trends-according-2-experts?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"noopener\">anti-ageing strategies<\/a> by simulating exercise, according to the joint team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences\u2019 Institute of Zoology and Beijing Institute of Genomics.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Led by Liu Guanghui and Qu Jing from the zoology institute and Zhang Weiqi from the genomics institute, the researchers reported their findings in the peer-reviewed journal Cell on June 25.<\/p>\n<p>Nutrition, exercise, sleep and <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/lifestyle\/health-wellness\/article\/3164080\/stress-how-know-if-you-are-suffering-it-and-ways-relieve?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"noopener\">stress management<\/a> are widely considered the four pillars of health, including by institutions such as the World Health Organization.
