There\u2019s always something to learn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Betts, the award would be nice, sure \u2014 but not necessary. \u201cIf it comes with a Gold Glove, cool. If it doesn\u2019t, cool,\u201d he said, his voice steady, grounded in self-belief. \u201cI just care that I did everything I could to help us win.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, the thought of him becoming a Gold Glove winner as both an outfielder and an infielder isn\u2019t lost on anyone \u2014 least of all Betts himself. He smiled when asked about it. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomething I can definitely tell my son, I was able to win one in the infield and one in the outfield, but at the end of the day it&#8217;s all about winning the World Series.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For a player who once ruled the grass and now commands the dirt, \u201ccool\u201d might be an understatement.
