There are bagel bites stuffed with halloumi, halloumi triangles, halloumi fries, and halloumi focaccia. There are also non-halloumi cheeses, like feta sesame balls and sweet anari, plus sweet tahini swirls and gluten-free options. Then there\u2019s Greek freddo espressos and cappuccinos. For its opening day, there will be free coffee, a raffle, and music. The bakery took over the space previously home to empanada shop <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/2022\/9\/1\/23329111\/nyc-restaurant-openings-september-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nadas<\/a>, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DMOcDXLu7_p\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">closed<\/a> over the summer (which still offers <a href=\"https:\/\/eatnadas.com\/catering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York City catering<\/a> and runs a location in <a href=\"https:\/\/eatnadas.com\/flavors-harrison\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harrison, New York<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>A longtime Brooklyn bakery should be safe<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">The Carroll Gardens buildings housing the 80-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/mazzolabakerycafe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mazzola Bakery<\/a> (and its adjacent apartments) are <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/new-york-restaurant-news\/404505\/kricket-nyc-pop-up-restaurant-dinner-comal-october-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">up for sale<\/a>. The bakery could be safe: The current owners, the Caravello family, who bought the bakery over 30 years ago, are looking for buyers who will keep the bakery open, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crainsnewyork.com\/real-estate\/mazzola-bakery-and-its-building-carroll-gardens-brooklyn-are-sale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">per Crain\u2019s<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Paris meets NYC dinner with offal<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">Ollie Clarke, the chef of Paris restaurant <a href=\"https:\/\/restaurantquedubon.fr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quedubon<\/a> (which food publication <a href=\"http:\/\/quedubon\">Vittles<\/a> describes as \u201ca Parisian fantasy\u201d and \u201ca truly great bistrot\u201d), is coming to New York City for a collaboration with chef Marc Forgione. The result is a $135 five-course meal centered on offal, with dishes such as poached calf\u2019s brains and sweetbread hearts. The dinner takes place at Tribeca restaurant <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/venue\/5550\/marc-forgione\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forgione<\/a> on Wednesday, October 22.
