PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – A local author has written a book to help raise funds for a family in need of a little help. <\/p>\n

\u2018The Wing That Waited\u2019 is a book written for a little girl who is waiting on a heart transplant, a transplant her mother also received. <\/p>\n

Ally Neal, who gave the book\u2019s first reading to a group of children Friday morning, published the story on Amazon and is donating all of the proceeds to the family in need.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust as moms, we started our company, our embrace chaos company, just to know that we are the village,\u201d Neal said. \u201cWe show up for the other moms, and so, to see a baby girl that is hurting like that or a family that is hurting like that, we don\u2019t have a million dollars, we don\u2019t have a huge foundation, but we have the heart.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love to write and children\u2019s books are powerful.\u201d <\/p>\n
