\n\tUPDATED with complete winners list:<\/strong> The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmys<\/a>, otherwise known as the daytime soaps\u2019 biggest night, just wrapped Friday in Pasadena, CA. ABC\u2019s General Hospital <\/strong>was just named Best Drama Series to cap the ceremony emceed by Mario Lopez at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt was the second win in a row for General Hospital, which won a leading seven trophies tonight, topping a category that included the leading nominee-getter this year The Young and the Restless, and Peacock\u2019s Days of Our Lives. (CBS\u2019\u00a0Beyond the Gates, just bowed in February and missed the Emmy eligibility window. The show, which has been renewed for a second season<\/a> and got several shout-outs tonight, will be eligible next year.)<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the lead soap acting categories tonight, Nancy Lee Grahn won her third Emmy for playing Alexis Davis on General Hospital, while Paul Telfer won for playing Xander Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives. Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless\u2018 Susan Walters and General Hospital\u2018s Jonathan Jackson won their respective supporting acting categories, while Lisa Yamada of The Bold and the Beautiful won the inaugural Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series award.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther key winners tonight include Live with Kelly & Mark topping the Daytime Talk Series category over last year\u2019s winner The Kelly Clarkson Show along with The Drew Barrymore Show<\/a>, The Jennifer Hudson Show and\u00a0The View. Barrymore did take the trophy tonight for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host; her team stayed in New York where the syndicated show is produced.<\/p>\n

\n\tSyndicated fare won six trophies tonight, including for Disney Entertainment Distribution\u2019s Live with Kelly & Mark and CBS Media Ventures\u2019 Hot Bench. Netflix led all platforms in wins tonight with nine, followed by ABC with eight and CBS and Peacock with two apiece.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong multiple winners, Apple TV\u2019s The Secret Lives of Animals<\/a> won three Emmys<\/a> including for Outstanding Science and Nature Program; Netflix\u2019s Black Barbie, which won for Outstanding Arts and Popular Culture Program and for writing; and Entertainment Tonight which won the categories of Entertainment News Series and Daytime Personality \u2013 Daily. In the food categories, Food Network\u2019s Delicious Miss Brown won for Outstanding Culinary Instructional Series and the show\u2019s Kardea Brown for Outstanding Culinary Host.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter GH, The Secret Lives of Animals, Netflix\u2019s Secret Lives of Orangutans and Drew Barrymore had three wins apiece.<\/p>\n

\n\tDays of Our Lives star Deidre Hall presented Deborah Norville with the Daytime Emmys\u2019 Lifetime Achievement Award for a news anchor\/host career that spanned local news in Atlanta and New York, followed by the Today show, CBS News and Inside Edition, the latter where she has been anchor for 30 years (she has announced this current season is her last, having started a new gig hosting the syndicated game show The Perfect Line).<\/p>\n
