Across the country, organizers have mapped out more than 2,500 rallies targeting what they describe as creeping authoritarianism in the Trump era.<\/p>\n<p>In L.A., the plan is bold, scattered and bracing for spectacle. The flagship SoCal protest is slated for 2pm to 5:30pm at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/los-angeles\/attractions\/grand-park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gloria Molina Grand Park<\/a> (200 N. Spring Street) in downtown L.A. But if that&#8217;s too centralized, don\u2019t worry\u2014you\u2019ve got choices.<\/p>\n<p>Where and when are the No Kings protests in L.A. this weekend?<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Unidad Park, Historic Filipinotown \u2014 Rally from 10am to noon<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Los Angeles City Hall (Downtown) \u2014 10am to 2pm<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Pasadena, Lake Avenue and Colorado Boulevard \u2014 2pm to 4pm<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Torrance City Hall \u2014 11am to 1pm<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Huntington Beach Pier \u2014 Noon to 2pm<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Santa Monica, Palisades Park \u2014 11am to 12:30pm<br \/>Beverly Hills, Beverly Garden Park \u2014 2pm to 4pm<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Glendale City Hall \u2014 Noon to 2pm<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Culver City Hall \u2014 11am to 12:30pm<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>What to know about the No Kings protests in L.A.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In total, local organizers say there are roughly 80 actions across the greater L.A. area this Saturday, from big rallies to flash mobs, picket lines and \u201cteach-ins.\u201d\u00a0Expect the aesthetics to lean protest-festival: signs, chants, drums and creative energy. \u201cWhat this is about is everybody coming together and demonstrating\u2014we don\u2019t do kings in America,\u201d Indivisible\u2019s executive director Ezra Levin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/rachel-maddow\/watch\/historic-turnout-expected-for-nationwide-no-kings-protests-against-trump-overreach-249824837632\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">told MSNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t forget: The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/los-angeles\/news\/l-a-immigration-raids-what-to-know-about-the-protests-and-reduced-downtown-curfew-061125\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">memory of June\u2019s protests<\/a> still looms. That day in L.A., demonstrators were largely peaceful until clashes broke out near federal buildings, triggering use of tear gas and flash bangs.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re thinking of going, here\u2019s quick advice: Try to arrive early, stay informed about route changes, bring water and sun protection and stick close to groups you trust. And yes, expect a heavy law enforcement presence. National Guard or not, city and county agencies have pledged extra patrols.<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/f04e7a4728c10b694f540bcef0646370?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So whether you want full spectacle or something local and low-key, L.A.\u2019s got options.
