\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLEADING THE WAY. WANT TO GET YOU CAUGHT UP ON THAT BREAKING NEWS STORY RIGHT NEAR UC. MULTIPLE PEOPLE, SERIOUS INJURIES. NOW, THERE\u2019S BEEN A BALCONY. BALCONY COLLAPSE RIGHT IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX. AND WE ARE NOW TOLD AT LEAST TEN PEOPLE WERE RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL. THIS IS HAPPENING AT A STUDENT APARTMENT BUILDING ALONG STETSON STREET, RIGHT THERE ON THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI\u2019S CAMPUS, OR JUST OFF CAMPUS. LET\u2019S GET RIGHT THERE TO THE SCENE. SEAN MACKINNON AND SEAN, YOU JUST GOT AN UPDATE ON THOSE INJURIES. YEAH, WE DID GET THAT THAT UPDATE ON THOSE INJURIES. SEVEN PEOPLE TAKEN TO UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL. TWO TAKEN A GOOD SAM. ONE PERSON TAKEN TO CHRIST HOSPITAL. ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE HAS LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. THEY WERE TAKEN TO UC HOSPITAL. THEY ARE IN SURGERY RIGHT NOW. I WANT TO SHOW YOU THIS BALCONY COLLAPSE RIGHT HERE ON. YOU CAN SEE THAT IT WHERE IT WAS UP THERE. ANOTHER BALCONY, FOR EXAMPLE, IS TO THE RIGHT OF IT. IT HAD AT LEAST WHAT\u2019S BEEN DESCRIBED EARLIER AS A 20 FOOT FALL. YOU CAN SEE THAT WOODEN BALCONY NOW SIDEWAYS ON THE GROUND OF THIS PARKING LOT OF THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX. ONE OF THOSE FIRE INVESTIGATORS WITH THEIR FLASHLIGHT OUT, TAKING PICTURES OF IT, DOCUMENTING THE SCENE, ANALYZING EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED HERE. THERE ARE STILL STUDENTS HERE THIS EVENING. TALKING WITH POLICE, TALKING WITH CINCINNATI FIRE. AGAIN, WE KNOW THERE ARE TEN INJURIES. NOW, ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES, MULTIPLE OF THOSE PEOPLE WITH SERIOUS INJURIES, SOME OF THEM ALSO WITH MORE MINOR INJURIES. STUDENTS ARE SHAKEN UP THIS EVENING. AS YOU CAN SEE AGAIN, THIS BALCONY HAS COLLAPSED HERE, NOT FAR FROM UC HEALTH, NOT FAR FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI. IT\u2019S NOT STUDENT HOUSING. CINCINNATI POLICE TELL US, BUT IT IS. STUDENTS DO LIVE AT THESE APARTMENTS. EVERYONE WE\u2019VE TALKED TO TONIGHT, OUR STUDENTS. CINCINNATI POLICE SAY THEY WERE HERE. SOME KIND OF CELEBRATION FOR PASSING AN EXAM TODAY. THAT\u2019S WHY THEY WERE ALL TOGETHER. POLICE SAY THIS WAS A STRUCTURAL FAILURE. THE WOODEN DECK. THIS EVENING, EARLIER THIS EVENING. COLLAPSING.
