MONONA, Wis. (WKOW) \u2013 The first Topgolf in Wisconsin broke ground Oct. 16 in Monona, one of the first steps in building a new entertainment and recreation facility in the city. The Topgolf is set to open by early next fall.<\/p>\n
Topgolf is known for its unique golfing experience that combines indoor and outdoor elements. Players can enjoy games or use it as a traditional driving range from a covered area.<\/p>\n
Located by South Towne Mall, Monona’s Topgolf will feature 72 bays, a restaurant, an outdoor patio and event spaces. The project is also expected to create more than 250 jobs.<\/p>\n
Leaders mentioned how visitors don’t have to be good at golf to enjoy Topgolf. “This is really about having a premier entertainment and recreation facility. It’s not about having the best game the best golf game,” Monona Mayor Nancy Moore said.<\/p>\n
The mayor believes the new facility will be embraced by the community and build up Monona’s status as an entertainment destination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"MONONA, Wis.
