The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce<\/a> (FWC) recognized several local businesses at its annual \u201cState of the City\u201d luncheon, presented by Simmons Bank<\/a>, on Thursday, October 16, at Dickies Arena. The program included presentations of FWC\u2019s 2025 Small Business of the Year Awards as well as The Best Place for Working Parents\u00ae Innovator Awards.\u00a0 Presented by Bank of Texas<\/a>, these annual awards honor outstanding Fort Worth small businesses that demonstrate exemplary best practices. Both Chamber members and non-members were eligible. 1-20 Employees
Winner: <\/strong>The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation\u00a0<\/strong><\/a> The Foundation was formed in 2014 with the mission to prevent suicide, eliminate stigma, and provide hope to people struggling with depression. Since 2023, the Foundation\u2019s work has led to a decrease in all deaths by suicide in Tarrant County by 20%, and youth deaths have fallen by close to 90% \u2013 to five \u2014 in the 2024-2025 school year. Winner: <\/strong>Bob Moore Construction<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong> Bob Moore Construction is a legacy general contractor based in Fort Worth, proudly building across Texas for over 78 years. In the past two years, they have worked on more than 2.5 million square feet in Fort Worth and Central Tarrant County, totaling over $185 million in value and adding an estimated 1,800 jobs.\u00a0 Other finalists:\u00a0<\/strong>McDonald Sanders, Valor<\/p>\n

51-150 Employees
Winner: <\/strong>Pulliam Pools<\/strong><\/a> Pulliam Pools is America\u2019s oldest pool builder, specializing in new construction, renovations, service, and maintenance \u2014 located right here in Fort Worth. Pulliam Pools is the continuation of a family construction business founded in 1916 by brothers Theodore Creswell Pulliam and Frank \u2018Pop\u2019 Pulliam.\u00a0 Other finalists:\u00a0<\/strong>Alliance Vision Institute, Ampersand Coffee<\/p>\n
