HOUSTON (13 News) – Houston needed a field goal in the final moments to overcome Arizona 31-28 in a Big 12 game at TDECU Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 18.<\/p>\n

Quarterback Noah Fifita led the Wildcats with 269 yards and two touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Conner Weigman passed for three scores and 164 yards for Houston. He made some important runs in the final minutes to set the Cougars up for the game-winning score.<\/p>\n

Arizona (4-3) has wins over Hawaii,<\/b><\/a> Weber State,<\/b><\/a> Kansas State,<\/b><\/a> and Oklahoma State<\/b><\/a> this season. The Wildcats\u2019 other losses have come to Iowa State<\/b><\/a> and BYU.<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

Arizona has another bye week and hits the road again for a conference game against Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes on Nov. 1.<\/p>\n

Houston<\/b><\/a> (6-1) travels to play the Arizona State Sun Devils next week. The Cougars lost to Texas Tech this season and have wins over Stephen F. Austin, Rice, Colorado, Oregon State, and Oklahoma State.<\/p>\n
