Washington<\/a><\/strong> senior tight end Quentin Moore<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0suffered an injury Saturday afternoon in the Huskies\u2019 24-7 loss to\u00a0Michigan<\/strong><\/a>. The veteran was carted off the field during the first half and did not return to the game.<\/p>\n

Prior to the injury, Moore was held without a reception. Over the course of his career, the Kenmore, WA native has hauled in 11 receptions for 120 yards and one touchdown. <\/p>\n

\u201cQ, from what I understand, is doing well in terms of obviously he\u2019s moving all of his limbs and is fully cognizant and all the things we pray for,\u201d Washington<\/strong> head coach Jedd Fisch<\/a><\/strong> said postgame<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s a case where we\u2019ll just have to see what the full effect is of the injury.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another serious looking injury at the Big House<\/p>\n

Washington TE Quinton Moore is down with an injury. Cart was again on the field. He, too, got the support of his teammates.<\/p>\n

FOX\u2019s\u00a0Jenny Taft<\/strong>\u00a0provided an update on Moore during the broadcast. She also provided insight on Michigan<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Evan Link<\/a><\/strong>, as the Wolverines offensive lineman was also carted off during the first half.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so hard when we see anyone carted off,\u201d Taft said. \u201cThe update from Michigan<\/strong>\u2019s Evan Link<\/strong> \u2014 he\u2019s actually in the locker room right now, hoping to see his guys at the break. For Washington<\/strong>, we just saw Quentin Moore<\/strong>. I can tell you he did have movement when he was taken off the field.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore has dealt with injuries before across his lengthy career, as he actually suffered a season-ending knee injury in Washington<\/strong>\u2018s season-opener against Weber State<\/a><\/strong> last year. He will forever be remembered around the program for catching the game-winning touchdown in Washington<\/strong>\u2018s 34-31 win over Oregon<\/a><\/strong> in the 2023 Pac-12 Championship Game.<\/p>\n

Michigan holds Washington scoreless in second half in 24-7 win<\/p>\n

Washington<\/strong>\u00a0entered Saturday\u2019s game with a 5-1 record, with its lone loss coming to No. 1\u00a0Ohio State<\/a><\/strong>. It is now 5-2 with five games remaining in the season.<\/p>\n

Defense dominated early, as both teams were held nearly scoreless through the first quarter.\u00a0Michigan<\/strong>\u00a0broke the seal thanks to a 22-yard passing touchdown from\u00a0Bryce Underwood<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to wide receiver\u00a0Andrew Marsh<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with 33 seconds remaining in the first. This lead didn\u2019t last for long however, as\u00a0Washington<\/strong>\u00a0running back\u00a0Jonah Coleman<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0found the end zone right before halftime to tie the game at seven apiece.<\/p>\n

The second half was dominated by\u00a0Michigan<\/strong>\u00a0however. Marshall broke the 7-7 tie with a 14-yard touchdown run near the end of the third quarter, and the Wolverines made it a two-possession game thanks to a 10-yard passing touchdown from Underwood to tight end\u00a0Zack Marshall<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0early in the fourth quarter. Kicker\u00a0Dominic Zvada<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0then drilled a 26-yard field goal with 4:10 remaining, cementing the 24-7 win for the team in blue and maize.<\/p>\n
