The terror-linked Brooklyn imam who palled around in a photo opp <\/a>this week with socialist NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani once urged \u201cjihad\u201d on the Big Apple.<\/p>\n

Imam Siraj Wahhaj, one of the nation\u2019s foremost Muslim leaders, delivered his radical message during\u00a0a sermon<\/a> in the early 2000s, telling followers to\u00a0participate in gun-free jihad and \u201cmarch through the city of New York,\u201d according to a foreign\u00a0intelligence\u00a0assessment obtained Saturday by The Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cI pray one day Allah will bless us to raise an army, and I\u2019m serious about this,\u201d he said during the sermon, which was first reported by Islamist Watch<\/a> and cited in the intelligence report.<\/p>\n

\u201c800,000 Muslims in New York City,\u201d he said. \u201cCan you imagine, if 800,000 Muslims decide to march every day?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not telling you, no, don\u2019t pick up a gun, no. Just march. March through the city of New York. Let them hear your voice. Let them hear it at night. Let them hear it 24 hours, until the whole city can\u2019t sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said a main goal of the demand was drumming up support to help fellow Muslims defend themselves against enemies in Bosnia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m asking for us to greet the duty for jihad here in America,\u201d the 75-year-imam of a Bedford-Stuyvesant mosque said. \u201cHow? By helping our Muslim brothers and sisters by sending money over there and bringing weapons to Bosnia to the Muslims by any means necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cBut don\u2019t stop there. Collect money for the Muslims who are dying by the millions in Somalia. Don\u2019t stop there. Let us march to Palestine and liberate our brothers and sisters there. But don\u2019t stop there. Let\u2019s go to Algeria, and liberate the Muslims there. Don\u2019t stop there. Go all over the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mamdani gleefully campaigned Friday with Wahhaj, a notorious, gay-hating imam\u00a0who is an unindicted co-conspirator in 1993 World Trade Center bombing and\u00a0who has been\u00a0linked to other terrorist activity in the United States.<\/p>\n
