If there\u2019s a way for Mann to destroy any goodwill he had with the online mob then this will surely do it.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">I don\u2019t experiment with technology gratuitously. When I have a dramatic or aesthetic need for it, then I go deep into what I need [\u2026] aging and de-aging may be very important in the next film.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Is this a good idea? It\u2019ll put Mann squarely in the center of one of Hollywood\u2019s fiercest cultural wars. Add in de-aging technology, which divided audiences in \u201cThe Irishman\u201d and \u201cIndiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,\u201d and you have a perfect storm of controversy<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Mann went on to confirm that \u201cHeat 2\u201d would jump across timelines, exploring both before and after the events of the original film. \u201cIt picks up one day after the movie ends \u2014 only Val Kilmer\u2019s alive, and he has to flee the United States,\u201d Mann revealed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Production-wise, Mann confirmed \u201cHeat 2\u201d made the jump from Warner Bros. to Amazon MGM\u2019s United Artists, with producer Scott Stuber, which in his own words will ensure the \u201cproper size and scale\u201d for what he implies is a very costly movie.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Heat 2 is\u2026 an expensive movie to make, but I believe it should be made at the proper size and scale.
