Lena Dunham<\/a> has revealed that she and her husband, Luis Felber, are looking to start a family together. The \u201cGirls\u201d creator and star told The Times<\/a>, \u201cI will say we\u2019re in the process of expanding our family in new ways.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dunham, 39, had a hysterectomy<\/a> in 2017, but that is not stopping her from welcoming children into her life. She did not say exactly what she and Felber\u2019s plan is, but explained, \u201cI want to safely meet our children and then figure out how to talk about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Emmy-nominated<\/a> writer, director and actor elected to have a hysterectomy at age 31 due to \u201cunbearable\u201d pain and a long battle with endometriosis. However, she has always wanted to become a mother. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact is, I never had a single doubt about having children,\u201d Dunham wrote in 2018 essay for Vogue<\/a>. \u201cNot one, since the day I could understand how families were made.<\/p>\n

Dunham & Felber\u2019s Happy Marriage<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a difficult period in her life, marked by a stint in rehab and a public breakup with producer Jack Antonoff<\/a>, Dunham met the man of her dreams.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In February of 2021 she and Felber, a musician, were set up by a mutual friend and the pair were married by August of that same year. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t possible to resist it. It just felt like: this is what\u2019s happening,\u201d Dunham told The Times about her relationship with Felber.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite achieving massive career success at a young age, it wasn\u2019t until Dunham married Felber that she felt she could finally exhale. \u201cI am so lucky in that the last years have been, I would argue, the most peaceful of my life,\u201d she shared with People.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

So peaceful, that Dunham feared she was turning into a bore. \u201cSometimes I feel like I am boring on the phone with my friends, because I have a lovely husband who I adore collaborating with,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n

Dunham\u2019s Already Full House<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even though Dunham and Felber are still in the process of welcoming children, they already have quite the full house. The couple, who live in North London, share two dogs, Ingrid and Cornichon, as well as five cats, Elegance, Rhett, Truman, Porsche and Smudge.<\/p>\n

According to Dunham, she is thrilled to be with someone who loves animals as much as she does, even when they\u2019re all lounging on the bed. \u201cI can\u2019t believe I\u2019ve found someone who is as with it as I am,\u201d she told The Times.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But soon enough, there will be children in the mix as well. \u201cIn the long term our big dream is to have a farm situation in the countryside,\u201d Dunham said. \u201cAnd children with British accents skipping off to school in little hats and uniforms. It\u2019s too charming!\u201d<\/p>\n
