Even though Debbie Harry<\/a><\/strong> has been approached about a potential biopic about Blondie, and the band has plans to release a new album in the coming months, she\u2019s not sure about the future of the group.<\/p>\n

“I ran into a wall: the [2024] tour ended, Clem [Burke] died, and wow. What is this space I live in now?” Harry said during an interview with Vanity Fair<\/a> published on June 30. \u201cI\u2019m curing \u2014 I\u2019m doing a cure. And part of that is de-cluttering up my space, which is crowded with that life. I need to get some breath, get some air in there. And I want to feel that little spark of creativity, surprise \u2014 those things. There\u2019s a little tingle of that, and I hope that will be there for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

And while the \u201cHeart of Glass\u201d singer confirmed that a biopic and documentary are in the works, she was still seemingly hesitant about them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how a life can be summarized or given a caption. I suppose there\u2019ll be something that\u2019s off the wall but will somehow work,\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019m happy to be doing it \u2014 it\u2019s helping me to collect my thoughts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blondie first formed in 1974, and it wasn\u2019t until four years later that they made their splash into mainstream media. It was their third album, Parallel Lines, that really put them on the map with hits like \u201cHeart of Glass\u201d and \u201cOne Way or Another.\u201d However, after almost a decade together, the group split up due to a couple of reasons. Their sixth album, The Hunter, underperformed, and at the same time in 1982, guitarist and Harry\u2019s partner at the time, Chris Stein<\/strong>, was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called pemphigus vulgaris. The disease left him severely ill and required Harry to step back from music to care for him.<\/p>\n

That wasn\u2019t the last fans had seen of the group though. They reunited in 1997 and in 1999, they released their comeback album, No Exit.<\/p>\n
