But they are yet to finalise any deals which would place Liverpool at the heart of a multiclub empire.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>            Liverpool owners linked with Getafe purchase<\/p>\n<p>Links with Toulouse and Bordeaux in France have come and gone while there were suggestions that Vasco da Gama in Brazil could have been bought at one stage.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last few months however it appears that one club above all others has stood out as a potential new club in the portfolio. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anfieldwatch.co.uk\/liverpool-fc\/news\/liverpool-fc-news-fsg-significant-step-getafe\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-as-button=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>That club is Getafe <\/strong><\/a>&#8211; a well-established LaLiga side who are reported to have held talks with FSG already.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>            FSG close in on \u20ac200m Getafe deal<\/p>\n<p>And now comes a report from Defensa Central which claims a deal is set to be finalised. The overall price could reach \u20ac200m &#8211; with FSG set to take full ownership of the club based on the Madrid outskirts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiverpool travel to Madrid and are close to closing the deal for 200 million,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/defensacentral.com\/mas\/liverpool-viaja-madrid-esta-punto-cerrar-operacion-por-200-millones_322041_102.html\" target=\"_blank\" data-as-button=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\">report <\/a>reads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFSG wants to acquire Getafe and is already preparing its arrival in the Spanish capital: the purchase is practically complete.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/public.jpeg\" alt=\"Michael Edwards and Arne Slot\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\n                \u00a9 IMAGO &#8211; Michael Edwards and Arne Slot\n            <\/p>\n<p>            Getafe deal &#8216;practically complete&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>One of the key motivating factors in Edwards\u2019 return was the establishment of a multiclub empire. Rivals such as Manchester City and Chelsea have already got their multiclub ownership models up and running.<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool could benefit hugely by having a sister club under the FSG umbrella.
