{"id":315321,"date":"2025-10-19T06:13:30","date_gmt":"2025-10-19T06:13:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/315321\/"},"modified":"2025-10-19T06:13:30","modified_gmt":"2025-10-19T06:13:30","slug":"when-is-voodoo-doughnut-from-portland-opening-in-nyc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/315321\/","title":{"rendered":"When is Voodoo Doughnut from Portland opening in NYC?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let&#8217;s be honest, despite the plethora of top-notch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/best-donut-shops-in-new-york-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">doughnut shops\u00a0in New York<\/a>, there&#8217;s always room for more\u2014which is why we&#8217;re oh-so-excited to tell you all about Voodoo Doughnut, a Portland-based chain that will debut its first-ever location in NYC some time in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>According to an official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DP17aWdEgF8\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Instagram post<\/a> by the company, the new store will debut at 41 Union Square West, near 17th Street. Although an opening date has not been announced yet, would-be fans are encouraged to sign up for a waiting list to be the first to know about any updates.<\/p>\n<p>The first 50 folks to\u00a0join &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/lp.constantcontactpages.com\/sl\/VwmYhQy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Voodoo Doughnut Insiders<\/a>,&#8221; as the waiting list is dubbed, will also receive a special gift delivery prior to opening, plus the chance to attend the shop&#8217;s exclusive VIP preview night.<\/p>\n<p>As the chain&#8217;s moniker makes clear, Voodoo Doughnut is known for its slightly\u00a0quirky and off-the-beaten-path sweets: from the Old Dirty Bastard (chocolate frosting, Oreo cookie crumbles and peanut butter drizzle) to the Oh Captain, My Captain (vanilla frosting and Cap&#8217;n Crunch cereal), Voodoo Bubble (vanilla frosting, bubble gum dust and an actual bubble gum) and the Memphis Mafia (banana chunks, cinnamon, chocolate chips, peanuts). We&#8217;ll be sure to try them all, of course.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/news\/405482\/voodoo-doughnuts-nyc-opening-union-square-manhattan-doughnut-shop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eater<\/a> reports that the new location will actually be &#8220;one of three new expansions, including Miami.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While we wait to hear about an official opening date, you&#8217;ll find us at some of the other newer doughnut shops across town, including the Tokyo import <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/one-of-tokyos-most-popular-doughnut-shops-has-landed-in-nyc-042225\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I&#8217;m donut?<\/a>, the Canadian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/a-beloved-canadian-doughnut-shop-is-opening-in-nyc-this-weekwith-free-treats-091024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COPS<\/a> and, of course, the always-delightful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/doughnutterys-bite-sized-doughnut-shop-is-coming-to-dumbo-091924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Doughnuttery<\/a>, inside our very own Time Out New York market in Dumbo.
