{"id":316492,"date":"2025-10-19T17:26:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-19T17:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/316492\/"},"modified":"2025-10-19T17:26:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-19T17:26:12","slug":"limp-bizkit-mourns-bassist-sam-rivers-calling-him-irreplaceable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/316492\/","title":{"rendered":"Limp Bizkit mourns bassist Sam Rivers, calling him irreplaceable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sam Rivers, the bass player in the nu metal band Limp Bizkit, died on Saturday, according to social media posts by his band mates. <\/p>\n<p>The band did not disclose where Rivers died or the circumstances, but praised him as \u201cpure magic\u201d and \u201cthe soul in the sound.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the first note we ever played together, Sam brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced,\u201d they wrote in a group Instagram post. \u201cHis talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fred Durst, the band\u2019s front man and lead vocalist, posted a video Sunday morning that recounted how they met at a club in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and went on to music stardom and performances around the globe. Durst said he has shed \u201cgallons and gallons of tears since yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe really did have an impact on the world and his music and his gift is the one that\u2019s going to keep on giving,\u201d Durst said. \u201cI just love him so much.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rivers, 48, had spoken of heavy drinking that had caused liver disease.
