Expect sunny skies Sunday with a high near 85 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, coupled with a light south-southeast wind of 5 to 10 mph.<\/p>\n<p class=\"related-link\"><strong style=\"margin-right:3px\">Cape Canaveral: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.floridatoday.com\/story\/tech\/science\/space\/2025\/10\/01\/rocket-launch-schedule-in-october-from-cape-canaveral-and-nasa-kennedy-space-center-in-florida\/86453418007\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Is there a launch today? Upcoming SpaceX, Blue Origin, NASA launch schedule at Cape Canaveral<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Falcon 9 will follow a northeasterly trajectory and deploy 28 Starlink internet satellites into low-Earth orbit. The first-stage booster will target\u00a0landing on SpaceX&#8217;s drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean.<\/p>\n<p>SpaceX&#8217;s last Starlink launch from the Cape occurred before sunrise Thursday, Oct. 16. That mission marked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.floridatoday.com\/story\/tech\/science\/space\/2025\/10\/15\/spacex-launch-day-heres-information-on-thursdays-starlink-rocket-launch-from-cape-canaveral-florida\/86710082007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the 500th landing of a Falcon 9 rocket<\/a> after the booster touched down atop SpaceX&#8217;s drone ship Just Read the Instructions out at sea.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead on the Eastern Range schedule, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will lift two Airbus-developed satellites into orbit on the SpainSat NG-II mission.
