claimed just one ATP title this year, his lowest season tally since 2019, having recorded his sole victory at the Munich Open.

Outside of his triumph in his home country, however, the German has endured a difficult time on tour since January.

The world number three did reach the final of the Australian Open earlier in the year, but failed to build on his impressive run in Melbourne.

Zverev has suffered a number of early exits at big tournaments, including a third-round defeat at the US Open and a round of 32 loss at the Shanghai Masters.

There is still time for Zverev to salvage his 2025 campaign, though, and he will have a great chance of doing so at the upcoming Vienna Open, where he has been given a favourable draw.

Alexander Zverev’s draw at the Vienna Open

The Vienna Open is one of the final <a href="https://www.thetennisgazette.com/tag/atp/" rel="nofollow noopener" also make an appearance in Austria, with the Russian in fine form since the beginning of the Asian swing.

For Zverev, the Vienna Open draw has provided him with a golden opportunity, as the 28-year-old has been handed a promising potential path to the final.

First round: Qualifier

Second Round: Qualifier

Quarterfinal:

Alexander Zverev’s record at the Vienna Open over the years

Zverev is making his fifth appearance at the Vienna Open, where he is a former champion.

He narrowly missed out in the qualifiers in 2014 and reached the quarterfinals in 2017, before going on to win the tournament four years later.

In 2021, Zverev put together an impressive run, beating the likes of Carlos Alcaraz and Frances Tiafoe to clinch the
